What's new

New features and improvements to the Podsworth app, newest first.

A second version of every file, with filler words cut out

Every file now comes back in two versions, each with its own transcript, at no extra cost and with nothing to switch on:

  • Ending in _pw_vs: the full length, ready to sync with video.
  • Ending in _pw_ae: filler words like “um” and “uh”, long pauses, coughs and music cut out. It’s audio only, even when you upload a video.

Podsworth accounts: save with credit bundles, and bring your team

You can now create a free Podsworth account, with your email or with Google. Ordering without an account works just as before.

  • Save with credit bundles. Buy hours of audio ahead, or subscribe monthly, at a lower rate than paying per order. A plan adds its hours every month, and unused hours roll over, up to a limit. See Pricing.
  • Your whole team. Invite people by email, and everyone orders with the team’s credits.
  • A show for each podcast. Each show keeps its own settings, and you can see the credits each one used.
  • Files where you work. Send cleaned files straight to a Google Drive or Dropbox folder, beside the download link and email.
  • Keep what matters. Files are deleted after 30 days unless you keep them, per order, per show or for the whole account.
  • For developers. Send recordings from your own scripts with the Podsworth API, or from your AI assistant (MCP). The guides are at docs.podsworth.com.

Transcripts that name each speaker

Transcripts now label each speaker properly. For projects with a separate track per person, each line says whose track it came from, and in a single recording speakers are numbered from 1. A named project’s transcript file is now named after the project, like its zip.

See when your files were emailed

Your order page now shows when we emailed your download link, under Order details. If that email ever does not go out, the page says so, and Get help reaches us right away.

Every file gets the full cleanup, with nothing to set

You no longer choose noise and plosive levels when you place an order. Every file now gets the same full cleanup automatically: background noise, plosives, clicks and pops, clipping and leveling. Upload your files, group tracks that were recorded together, and check out.

Pricing is simpler too: one price per minute of audio, whatever the recording needs.

Grouping tracks into a project is easier to spot

Upload two or more tracks and a clear note above them now explains projects: put the tracks of one recording (a host and a guest, say) into a project and they're processed together. Two tracks can come back merged or as separate files; three or more come back as one merged track. Tap How projects work to see the details. Recordings that aren't related stay as single files, as before.

Multitrack projects and a live order status page

Recorded each speaker on their own track? Group 2 to 8 tracks of the same recording into one project when you upload, and we clean them together so they sound like one conversation.

Every order now has a status page that shows where each file is, from upload to download, and the confirmation and delivery emails list your files by project.
